why would The Empress (abundance) sit next to 5 of Pentacles (lack)

had a pull last night that's still bugging me. The Empress right next to the 5 of Pentacles. one's all abundance and nurture, the other is cold-in-the-snow lack. i keep wanting to read them as contradicting but that feels lazy. anyone had a pairing like this? wondering if it's abundance that's there but you can't feel it, standing outside the lit window
