one thing before we get to the cards. two weeks out is raw and the deck mostly hands you your own hope and dread right now. that said, Two of Cups into Ten of Swords doesn't read like reunion to me. more like the connection was real and the ending was still the ending. real and over aren't a contradiction. sorry man

i want to second TroutDude, kindly, because he said the hard part well. the Ten of Swords is the card of something being genuinely finished, and when it lands as the outcome of a reunion question it's usually the deck being honest rather than cruel. but i'd hold the Two of Cups with respect too. i don't read it here as 'you two reunite.' i read it as proof that what you had was a true connection, worth grieving properly. those can both be real. and this is the part i'd actually sit with, pulling on the same question over and over in the first raw weeks tends to keep the wound open rather than answer anything. if it were me i'd put the cards down for a bit and let some ordinary time pass before asking again. the deck will still be there, and so will you

thanks for posting this, i've got my own version of this exact spread on my desk and didn't have the nerve to share it

the Ten of Swords looks brutal but there's dawn breaking behind the figure. endings and first light share a horizon. be gentle with yourself 🫂

deck nerd note, the Ten of Swords in Rider-Waite has the brightest sky of any card. painful card, hopeful horizon, on purpose

i'll offer the fuller read since you asked for one, and i'll be honest with you the way i'd want someone to be with me. Two of Cups is real love, i don't doubt what you two had. but it sits in the position of what was, and the Ten of Swords in the outcome is the deck closing a door clearly. i don't see a reunion in this spread. what i do see is confirmation that it mattered, which is its own kind of answer. here's the gentle part though. the cards are catching you at two weeks, when everything in you wants the Two of Cups to be a prophecy instead of a memory. give it time before you ask again. ask the deck how to heal rather than whether he comes back, and you'll get readings that actually help you. you're going to be okay
